Key Features

The investment objective of the BetaShares Global Energy Companies ETF - Currency Hedged is to provide an investment return that aims to track the performance of the Nasdaq Global exAustralia Energy Hedged AUD Index (the “Index”), before taking into account fees and expenses.

The Index is designed to track the performance of global companies that are in the Energy sector (excluding companies listed in Australia).

The Index is hedged to Australian dollars. The Nasdaq Global Hedged AUD Indexes are designed to represent returns for global investment strategies that involve hedging currency risk, but not the underlying constituent risk. These indexes aim to eliminate the effect of currency fluctuations in the index.

Mandate

How we invest your money

The Fund will seek to achieve the investment objective by adopting a “full replication” strategy.

To be eligible for initial inclusion in the Index, a security must meet the following criteria:

• must be a member of the NASDAQ Global Large Cap Index (NQGLCI);
• must have a country classification from an eligible country; and
• must be classified as "Energy" per the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB).

Global stock exchanges are reviewed periodically for eligibility. In general, a global exchange will be deemed ineligible if securities cannot be readily obtained either due to foreign investment restrictions or otherwise.
