The Fund invests into the Underlying Fund, which gains exposure to international equities, primarily through the purchase of shares through derivatives.

The Talaria Wholesale Plus Global Equity Fund (the Fund) is likely to be appropriate for a consumer:
− seeking to achieve returns comprising of capital growth, option premiums, dividends and interest earned on cash ,through investing in an actively managed international equity portfolio. Please refer to the PDS for further details of the Fund’s investment objective;
− intending to access the Fund through an Investor Directed Portfolio Service (IDPS), IDPS-like scheme or a nominee or custody service, a managed account or any other service or platform approved by us (collectively referred to as an 'Investment Service') or through a superannuation fund. The Fund isn’t open to direct investors;
− intending to use the investment in the Fund as a core component, minor or satellite allocation within a portfolio;
− who has an investment timeframe of at least 6 years;
− who has a 'Very High' risk/return profile; and
− seeking the ability to make daily withdrawal requests and for withdrawal proceeds to be paid typically within 10 Business Days to the consumer's Investment Service or superannuation fund under normal market conditions

The Underlying Fund takes a high conviction, value biased approach to construct an actively managed portfolio of high quality, large cap companies from around the globe. The Underlying Fund sells exchange traded options to generate option premiums which add to the Underlying Fund’s return. Put option sales Investment strategy are always fully cash backed and call option sales are always fully equity backed. As a result, the Underlying Fund does not take on leverage from its use of options. This unique investment methodology harnesses the benefits of consistent income generation and capital appreciation to grow investors’ real wealth.

The Underlying Fund’s investment strategy seeks to increase the certainty of international equity returns for investors. The Fund’s and Underlying Fund’s returns may be negatively impacted by the strength of the Australian dollar versus major currencies.

 

Mandate

The Underlying Fund’s investment approach:
– Constructs a high conviction, actively managed international equity portfolio that typically has between 15 and 45 holdings (comprising stocks and options) and can invest up to 100% of its assets in international Talaria Wholesale Plus Global Equity Fund equities, including direct holdings in shares and option positions over equities, which are fully backed by cash.
– Investment limits applied by the Manager limit exposure to an individual stock holding to a maximum of 15% of the net asset value of the Underlying Fund.
– Cash not used to back options positions is restricted to a maximum of 20% of the net assets of the Underlying Fund.
– Invests in equities traded on regulated, developed market stock exchanges.
– Does not have individual country exposure limits.
– May also hold Australian and foreign cash investments.
