About the FundThe Maple-Brown Abbott Australian Share Fund is an actively managed fund that holds, directly or indirectly, Australian-listed stocks. Stocks are selected for their perceived fundamental value and the potential for capital growth over the long term using our proven value investment philosophy and disciplined investment process. Our bottom-up stock selection approach is based on detailed analysis prepared by our experienced investment team, with all investment decisions based on research prepared using internal forecasts and analysis. Our focus is on those stocks that we believe are priced at an attractive discount to our assessment of their underlying value. |
Mandate
How we invest your moneyThe Fund is an actively managed fund that invests directly in Australian-listed equities, including REITs, or indirectly via the Maple-Brown Abbott Small Companies Trust (SCT), which we manage. We may also invest in unlisted equities provided that they are expected to be listed within 3 months from the date of investment. The Fund typically holds at least 30 stocks. The allocation to cash can play an important part in managing the volatility of investment returns. Investment guidelines
