About NGS Super

NGS Super is the leading Industry SuperFund for those working in non- government education and community organisations. Anyone can join NGS Super.

You can choose how to invest your super savings. If you don't select an investment option, your money will be placed in our default option:

  • Accumulation account - Diversified (MySuper) product
  • Transition to Retirement account - Diversified (MySuper) product
  • Income account - Moderate Growth option.

Ongoing annual fees and costs

NGS Accumulation and Transition to retirement accounts — Diversified (MySuper) investment option

Administration fees and costs: $65 p.a. ($1.25 per week) plus 0.10% p.a. of your account balance, capped at $500 p.a.
Investment fees and costs: 0.70% p.a. of the option’s assets (estimated
Transaction costs: 0.09% p.a. of the option’s assets (estimated)

NGS Income account — Diversified investment option
Fees and costs for the Diversified investment option are the same as for the Diversified (MySuper) option in the table above, except for investment fees and costs as shown in this table.

How we invest your money

When you join us, if you don't let us know how you would like to invest your super, then your money will be placed in our default investment option.

The default option for your Accumulation account and Transition to Retirement account is the Diversified (MySuper) product and is the Moderate Growth option for your Income account.

If you want a more active role in your investment decisions, you can choose from:

  1. Pre-mixed options which are made up of different asset classes with varying exposure to each;
  2. Sector-specific options which are pure asset classes; or
  3. The NGS Self-Managed Direct Investment Option (DIO).

Accumulation and Transition to Retirement account default - Diversified (MySuper) product

  • Suitable for medium to long-term investors who would like to earn a moderate to high level of capital growth over this period
  • Seeks a net return of 3% above CPI per annum over rolling 10-year periods

  • Australian shares: 23% / 15-40%
  • International shares: 27% / 15-40%
  • Infrastructure: 10% / 0-20%
  • Growth alternatives: 10% / 0-20%

  • Suitable for medium to long-term investors who wish to earn attractive long term returns whilst accepting a reasonable level of volatility in returns
  • Seeks a net return of 3% above CPI per annum over rolling 5-year periods
