The Cordish Dixon Private Equity Fund Series employs an investment strategy which focuses on small and mid-market private investment funds with the following characteristics:

• Consistent focus on niche investment opportunities - funds which have expertise in specific industries, geographic regions and/or investment strategies. A consistent investment strategy allows for specialised expertise to grow over time, enhancing long-term performance;

• Operating businesses with existing and proven cash flows - funds which focus on assets with existing cash flow and identified potential for growth;

• Appropriate size -  funds which only seek to manage pools of capital sized appropriately for the opportunities on which they focus;

• Prudent and limited use of leverage -  funds which seek to generate returns through investments in high quality private businesses with limited debt; and

• A hands-on approach - funds which ensure all aspects of the investment process are managed by senior funds executives who are deeply involved in the operations of the underlying businesses in which they invest.

About the Fund

The Cordish Dixon Private Equity Fund Series is focused on investing with and alongside specialised private equity funds targeting middle-market operating businesses in the US. Fund I, II, III are ASX listed entities, and Fund IV is an unlisted entity.

A related entity of Walsh & Company Investments Limited (the Responsible Entity) has partnered with Cordish Private Ventures, LLC (Cordish Private Ventures).  Cordish Private Ventures is the private investment arm of a fourth-generation US family company, The Cordish Companies and Cordish Family. Cordish Private Ventures has been investing in US private investments since the company was founded in 1999.

The Fund Series, through its partnership with Cordish Private Ventures, replicates the long-term private equity investment strategy of Cordish Private Ventures and provides the opportunity for investors to invest side-by-side and on similar terms with the Cordish Family of Baltimore, Maryland.

How we invest your money

Cordish Dixon Private Equity Fund III (ASX.CD3) was listed in July 2016 having raised a total of AUD$76.8 million.  The Cordish family has committed to invest US$15m and Dixon Advisory and its associates US$5m alongside and on the same terms as Fund III in the limited partnership, U.S. Select Private Opportunities Fund III, L.P (LP3).

The portfolio is partially committed and currently includes thirteen underlying fund managers diversified across the US economy.
