The Fund meets its investment strategy by investing in the Vanguard International Small Companies Index Fund, and forward foreign exchange contracts. Vanguard may, at its discretion, commence investing directly in the securities that are, have been, or are expected to be in the index. The Fund is exposed to most of the securities in the index, allowing for individual security weightings to vary marginally from the index from time to time. The Fund may be exposed to securities that have been removed or are expected to be included in the index. The MSCI World ex-Australia Small Cap hedged to AUD Index comprises securities (shares) listed on the exchanges of the world's major developed economies. The Fund (or its underlying fund) may engage in securities lending.
