Key Features

About the Fund

The Pendal MidCap Fund (Fund) is an actively managed portfolio of approximately 40 - 60 stocks in the MidCap universe. Investors benefit from the stock selection experience of the Pendal Australian Equities team, gaining access to a diversified portfolio of Pendal's best stock ideas in this part of the market capitalisation spectrum.

The MidCap universe generally comprises companies ranked between 51 and 150 of the S&P/ASX 200 Index. The Fund may also invest in equivalent companies listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange.

Investment Strategy

Pendal is an active manager of MidCaps employing a bottom-up valuation process. The investment strategy follows the same investment philosophy and process as applied throughout the stable of Pendal Australian equities funds. This allows us to capitalise on our strengths and investment style.

Fund Positioning

The Fund is designed to complement a conventional, core share portfolio by providing satellite exposure to select Australian MidCap equities with the potential for performance enhancement.

Investment Philosophy

Pendal's investment process for Australian shares is based on our core investment style and aims to add value through active stock selection and fundamental company research. Pendal's core investment style is to select stocks based on our assessment of their long term worth and ability to outperform the market, without being restricted by a growth or value bias. Our fundamental company research focuses on valuation, franchise, management quality and risk factors (both financial and non-financial risk).

Investment Process

Pendal defines the mid cap universe to include companies ranked between 51 and 150 of the S&P/ASX 200 Index. The Fund may also invest in equivalent companies listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange, hold cash and may use derivatives.

The Fund may have assets denominated in foreign currencies. This means that changes
